4 including infant injured in crash in Du Quoin

DU QUOIN, Ill. (KBSI) – Four people including an infant were injured after a crash Wednesday night in Du Quoin.
IIllinois State Police Troop 10 units responded to a two vehicle injury crash at US 51 at Route 14 in Du Quoin on March 20 around 7:45 p.m.
A 2018 silver Dodge driven by Emily Arnold, 19, of Centralia was traveling east on Illinois Route 14. A 2015 red Chrysler driven by Danny Kirk’s, 73, of Du Quoin was traveling north on US 51.
Arnold entered the intersection with US 51 and was struck by Kirk’s vehicle. That caused Arnold’s vehicle to roll over.
An infant in Arnold’s vehicle was flown to a regional hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 14-year old girl who was a passenger in Arnold’s vehicle, Arnold and Kirk were taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Arnold was cited for failure to yield right of way at intersection and failure to secure child in safety belt.
