4 student-athletes presented with scholarships at Bloomfied Christmas Tournament

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (KBSI) – A law firm presented four student-athletes with scholarships at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.

Scarlett Goodin from Bloomfield High School, Maisie Stevens from Bernie High School, Mason Adams from Portageville High School, and Lucas Dowdy from Bloomfield High School received the scholarships.

The winners were chosen based on a combination of academic excellence, athletic achievements, community involvement, and leadership qualities.

Local law firm Cook, Barkett, Ponder & Wolz announced the winners of academic scholarships awarded at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament. The Bloomfield Christmas Tournament was held at Bloomfield High School on December 26-29.

“We extend our congratulations to these extraordinary young people who have not only excelled in their athletic pursuits but have also demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence,” said Attorney J. Michael Ponder. “It is our honor to support their journey in education and contribute to the bright futures they are building.”

Since 1957, Bloomfield High School has hosted a tournament with teams from surrounding communities.
