43 firearms seized from hospital CEO’s home after domestic assault report
ROCHESTER, Mass. (WLNE) – Southcoast Health CEO Keith Hovan is charged with domestic assault and battery.
Rochester Police said they responded to a report of a domestic assault at Hovan’s home in Rochester on Saturday night. According to the police report, he is accused of striking another adult. Hovan was arrested at the scene. He is now out on bail.
According to the police report, officers determined that domestic assault “would disqualify him from holding a license to carry firearms in Massachusetts.” Police suspended Hovan’s license to carry and seized all 43 of his firearms, as well as his ammunition. According to the police report, while officers were seizing the firearms and ammunition, they found that Hovan illegally possessed 83 high capacity magazines and one drum. Officers issued a summons for Hovan to appear in court for those alleged violations.
