4th person arrested after shooting at prom ‘after party in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a weekend shooting at a prom after-party in Paducah.

Dylan M. Hammond, 21, of Hickman was arrested on warrants charging him with four counts of first-degree assault and 12 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

The shooting during a prom after-party at the W.C. Young Community Center.

The ongoing investigation revealed an additional person was involved and had fired a handgun, according to the Paducah Police Department.

Detectives collected evidence and witness statements confirming Hammond as an additional person firing a handgun multiple times.

An arrest warrant was secured and Hammond was located and arrested around noon on Thursday, May 4. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department in Hickman assisted with the arrest.

Omariyon Harper, 20, of Union City, Tennessee is charged in warrants with four counts of first-degree assault and 12 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on charges of four counts of complicity to first-degree assault and two counts of possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on charges of four counts of first-degree assault, 12 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

Detectives continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone who was at the party or who has information about the incident
