5 face drug charges in multiple investigations in Calloway Co.

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office arrested five people over the weekend in multiple investigations.

Four deputies served a search warrant at 716 Sycamore Street in Murray Saturday, September 11. Deputies found various items of drug paraphernalia as well as methamphetamine and marijuana, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Phillip W. Nelson, 40, of Murray was arrested and charged with 1st degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Calloway County Jail.

On Sunday, September 12, around 2:30 p.m., two deputies went to a home on Saddlebrook Lane to locate two fugitives. Deputies found Stephanie Wecker and Bradley Whyte, both known to be fugitives with multiple warrants. They also found various items of drug paraphernalia as well as methamphetamine and marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office.

Bradley C. Whyte, 47, of Benton, Ky. was arrested and charged with 1st degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served a parole violation warrant, a warrant for failure to appear on a Livingston County District Court case, and a warrant for failure to appear on a Caldwell County District Court case.

Stephanie G. Wecker, 45, of Hardin, Ky. was arrested and charged with 1st degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). She was also served with a warrant for failure to appear in a Calloway County court case, a warrant for failure to appear in a Marshall County court case, a warrant for failure to appear in a McCracken County court case, a warrant for failure to appear in a Graves County court case, two warrants of arrest charging her with a two counts of 2nd degree forgery and two counts of theft by deception in Marshall County.

Both Whyte and Wecker were taken to the Calloway County Jail.

On Sunday, September 12 at around 11 p.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle on 12th Street in Murray for a traffic violation. During the roadside investigation, various items of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and Suboxone were located, according to the sheriff’s office.

The driver, Jeffrey C. Cooper, 54, of Murray, Ky. was arrested and charged with operating on a suspended license, possession of an open alcohol container, 1st degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A passenger, Emily K. Odom, 43, of Murray was arrested and charged with 1st degree of a controlled substance (opiate) and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

Both Cooper and Odom were taken to the Calloway County Jail.
