5 face sex trafficking charges after found in Illinois

(KBSI) – Five men face sex trafficking charges after they were found in Illinois this past week.

Illinois State Police and Division of Criminal Investigation Trafficking Enforcement Bureau arrested five men during a two-day human trafficking enforcement operation in Columbia, Illinois on July 31 through August 1.

The operation focused on identifying individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts with children.

All five men were from St. Louis, Missouri. All were arrested and all five face charges of indecent solicitation of a child (class 3 felony), traveling to meet a child (class 3 felony), grooming (class 4 felony) and solicitation to meet a child (class 4 felony).
