5-H Christmas Tree Ranch re-opens for first time since 2020

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – “I feel like it’s kind of hard to be mad at Christmastime, so it just makes everyone happy,” said owner/operator Haylee Hale of 5-H Christmas Tree Ranch.
“Everyone watches Hallmark movies and sees stuff like that, but it’s nice to have a feeling of that in your hometown and just have a place that brings happiness.”
Treston Hodges also helps operate the ranch, celebrated its opening day on Friday.
This is the first time in three years they have done this Christmas tree ranch, which sells live Christmas trees and holiday themed items.
“We thought it’d be a good idea and it’d be good for the community to come out and come see us and get their Christmas trees locally and help out local businesses,” he said.
Hadley Huelsmann and her family picked out a Christmas tree this afternoon, and she gave her first impressions of the ranch.
“I like it [because it gives off great] Christmas vibes.”
Fair enough, I suppose.
Visitor Lucas Fairbank shard what he enjoys most about the holidays.
“Spending time with your family and getting to be with the people you love most.”
So, with all the attention turned to Christmas, when is it appropriate to start listening to Christmas music?
“I’m a Christmas in July type of person,” Hale said. “I’ll listen to it in the summer.”
“After Thanksgiving,” Huelsmann said.
“Thanksgiving,” Fairbank said.
“Personally, it’s about the week of Christmas,” Hodges said.
