5 teens injured in crash near Graves, Carlisle county line

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Five teenagers were injured in a crash near the Graves/Carlisle county line Monday night.

The crash happened October 16 around 8 p.m. on KY North 121 in Graves County.

A 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, left the road and overturned several times, ejecting three of the five people in the vehicle, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies, Kentucky State Police, Mayfield Graves County Rescue Squad, the Fancy Farm Fire Department, and Mayfield – Graves County EMS responded to the crash.

The driver is identified as 16-year-old Hunner Bealmear of Wickliffe. The passengers in the vehicle are identified as Kenna Bodell, 17, of Kevil, Cole Morgan, 14, of Barlow, Serenity Owens, 15 of LaCenter, and Jared Goode, 14, of Wickliffe.

Bodell and Owens were life-flighted to a Nashville area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Goode was taken to Baptist Health in Paducah by ambulance and later life-flighted to a Nashville hospital.

Bealmear and Morgan were taken to a Paducah hospital by Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden assisted by a rescue squad member.

Paul’s Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

The investigation showed that the vehicle travelled a total of 186 feet after leaving the road and rolled several times.

Speed does not appear to be a factor in the accident, according to Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden.

The investigation continues.
