62-year-old Doniphan man faces charges after search uncovers meth, weapon

DONIPHAN, Mo., (KBSI) — A 62-year-old Doniphan man was arrested Monday evening after a search of his residence uncovered methamphetamine and a prohibited weapon.
William Franklin Lachance was taken into custody at approximately 8:30 p.m. by officers with the Doniphan Police Department, who were assisting the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office in executing an arrest warrant.
During the search, officers found glass pipes with white residue that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as a spring-assisted knife.
Lachance was booked on charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon, a Class D felony.
