70-year-old man accused of stealing $12k worth of metal from Cape Girardeau construction site

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A 70-year-old Cape Girardeau man faces a felony charge after allegedly stealing nearly $12,000 worth of metal panels from a construction site.
Ricky Winschel, age 70, is charged with felony stealing, according to online court records.
Police say the panels were delivered to the site last week, but the panels were reported missing from the construction site on Jan. 15.
Winschel admitted to taking the metal and selling it to a recycling center, according to a probable cause statement, on record.
