72-year-old motorcyclist killed in Stoddard County crash

STODDARD COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A 72-year-old man was killed Sunday in a three-vehicle crash on Missouri Route 25, about 4 miles south of Bloomfield.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson north around noon when he lost control. The motorcycle slid across the road and ejected him.

A southbound 2019 GMC Acadia then struck the motorcyclist, the patrol reported.

Debris from the first motorcycle struck a second northbound Harley-Davidson, causing its 23-year-old driver to lose control and be ejected.

The 72-year-old Aquilla man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not listed in the report.

The other motorcyclist was from Sturdivant, and the SUV driver was a 36-year-old woman from Bloomfield. No additional injuries were listed. Neither motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, according to the patrol.
