$8.2 million awarded for Kentucky Bridge projects

FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — Gov. Andy Beshear has announced the award recipients for the second round of funding from the state’s County-City Bridge Improvement Program, which includes $410,000 for Calloway County to repair the Clayton Town Road bridge.

The funding will support 22 crucial bridge projects in 15 counties and three cities. The program was established to address local bridge closures, traffic limitations and necessary repairs.

“This investment helps communities stay connected and safe,” said Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary Jim Gray.

The program has awarded a total of $18.4 million in its first two rounds, with the application window for Phase 3 currently open.
