8 students receive Three Rivers College scholarship

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KBSI) – Eight students received a scholarship to attend Three Rivers College.

Three Rivers College awarded the Richard Brumitt Memorial Scholarship to Zella Layton, Harley Sullivan, Haley Sullivan, Zoey Sprous, and Taylor Davis during the Fall 2023 semester.

  • Layton, of Naylor, is a 2023 graduate of Naylor High School and is majoring in Business Administration. She is the daughter of Mark and Summer Layton, also of Naylor.
  • Haley Sullivan, of Naylor, is a 2023 graduate of Naylor High School and is majoring in Elementary Education. She is the daughter of Jeff and Chasidy Sullivan of Naylor.
  • Harley Sullivan, of Naylor, is a 2023 graduate of Naylor High School and is majoring in Elementary Education. She is also the daughter of Jeff and Chasidy Sullivan.
  • Sprous, of Oxly, is a 2023 graduate of Naylor High School and is majoring in Elementary Education. She is the daughter of Danielle and Jason Sprous.
  • Davis, of Doniphan, is a 2023 graduate of Doniphan High School and is majoring in Health Sciences. She is the daughter of William and Shannon Davis III, also of Doniphan.
  • Also receiving this scholarship is Allison Crumley, of Doniphan, Brooklyn Klepzig, of Doniphan, and Gracie Wilkerson, of Harviell.

The scholarship was created in memoriam of former Three Rivers College Trustee and Endowment Trust Board member Richard “Dick” Brumitt. It is awarded to full-time students living in Ripley County.
