A Calloway County man arrested twice in one month for burglarizing homes

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – A Calloway County man has been arrested twice in one month for burglarizing homes in two Kentucky counties.

Larry D. French, 56, of Murray, Kentucky, was charged with burglarizing a house on Hwy 121N in Calloway County, reported in October last year. Multiple musical instruments valued at $8,000 were stolen and partially recovered by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee.

French was also arrested on March 13, 2025, after a homeowner reported someone attempting to burglarize their home in the 8300 block of Ky Hwy 94, between Pilot Oak and Water Valley. Deputy Larry Jones responded and detained French, who confessed to the thefts, burglary, and attempted burglary.

French’s criminal record shows previous convictions for meth possession, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, burglary, theft, and escape. He was transported and lodged at an out-of-county detention center, facing charges of Burglary 3rd Degree, Attempted 2nd Degree Burglary, and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.
