“A Taste of Ireland” Coming to Marion Cultural and Civic Center in June

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) — The Marion Cultural and Civic Center has announced a new show for its summer lineup.

“A Taste of Ireland — The Irish Music and Dance Sensation” is scheduled for June 17 at the venue. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at marionccc.com.

The production comes direct from Off-Broadway and features former world Irish dance champions, including performers who have appeared in Lord of the Dance and Riverdance.

Organizers said the show tells the story of Ireland’s history through music and dance, blending traditional and contemporary folk styles, a cappella tap performances and storytelling.
