All City of Cape water customers under boil water order

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for all City of Cape Girardeau water customers.

According to the City the order is due to a large water main break near the Cape Rock Water Plant.

Customers should expect lower water pressure during this time, and to boil and cool any water before drinking.

The advisory will remain in effect until results from water testing are available Dec. 11 as late as 6 p.m.

According to city officials even if you have an at home water system you still need to boil your water.
