PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — All five McCracken County Public Schools preschool sites have earned a five-star rating through the Kentucky Department of Education’s Kentucky All STARS program, the highest quality designation available for state-funded preschool programs.
The district offers preschool at Concord, Heath, Hendron-Lone Oak, Lone Oak and Reidland elementary schools.
Kentucky All STARS evaluates early childhood programs on classroom instruction, staff qualifications, professional development, leadership, learning environments and family and community engagement.
“We are incredibly proud that every preschool site in McCracken County Public Schools has earned this distinction,” Superintendent Josh Hunt said. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our preschool teachers, instructional assistants, therapists, administrators and support staff.”
District officials said the preschool program provides developmentally appropriate learning experiences designed to support children’s academic, social-emotional and physical development while preparing them for kindergarten.
School leaders said the recognition reflects the district’s commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education and creating supportive learning environments for young students.
