Almo man facing meth, marijuana charges after months-long investigation
CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man from Almo faces drug charges after an investigation that lasted several months.
Dana P. Ahart, 60, faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine 2nd offense (Class B felony), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ahart is accused of selling large quantities of methamphetamine in and around Calloway County.
Authorities executed a search warrant at his home on Friday, October 27 around 3 p.m.
Deputies found and seized approximately 50 grams of crystal methamphetamine packaged and ready for sale, $605 in cash, plastic baggies, digital weight scales, along with additional methamphetamine related items, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
Ahart has an extensive criminal history dating back to the early 2000s for charges including manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine.
He was on probation from a methamphetamine related charge where he pleaded guilty in February of 2023.
Ahart was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center where he is being held on a $20,000 cash bond.
