JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Amazon announced plans Friday to open four new last-mile delivery facilities in Scott City, Brookfield, Sedalia, and Maryville by the end of the year, expanding its network across rural Missouri and creating more than 150 new jobs statewide.

The move is part of Amazon’s $4 billion national investment to improve delivery speeds in smaller communities while boosting local economies. The company said the new facilities will support faster deliveries, new driver opportunities, and additional employment in operations and logistics.

Since 2010, Amazon has invested $5.3 billion in Missouri and created more than 11,000 full- and part-time jobs, according to the company.

“Amazon’s continued investment in Missouri underscores the strength of our state’s workforce and business climate,” said Gov. Mike Kehoe. “Each new facility represents quality jobs for Missourians and new opportunities for our rural communities to grow and thrive.”

Jason Vangalis, Amazon’s manager of economic development for Missouri, said the expansion reflects strong local partnerships. “Missouri’s collaboration, support, and dedicated workforce have created the perfect environment for us to expand and provide faster delivery for our customers,” he said.

Subash Alias, CEO of Missouri Partnership, said the state’s central location and strong workforce make it a natural hub for Amazon’s logistics network. “These new delivery stations will strengthen Missouri’s role in commerce while supporting local economies,” Alias said.

The new facilities include:

Scott City Delivery Station: 62,000 square feet at 250 Semo Industrial Drive, opening fall 2025.

Brookfield Delivery Station: 17,000 square feet at 110 Stanbury Industrial Drive, opening late fall 2025.

Sedalia Delivery Station: 63,000 square feet at 5105 W. Main Street, opening late fall 2025.

Maryville Delivery Station: 11,800 square feet at 701 Wilson Industrial Road, opening late fall 2025.

Amazon said its fulfillment and transportation employees earn an average of more than $22 per hour nationally and receive full benefits starting on day one, including health, vision, and dental insurance; a 401(k) with company match; and up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave.

The company also offers continuing education through its Career Choice program, which pre-pays tuition for courses in in-demand fields.
