American Red Cross closes Sikeston shelter, continues disaster relief efforts

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – The American Red Cross has closed its shelter at the City of Miner Convention Center in Sikeston, MO.

The shelter had been open for several days but saw no attendance, leading Red Cross officials to close it in collaboration with community leaders.

Red Cross teams continue to work with local officials to determine community needs and conduct damage assessments.
