American Red Cross in need of volunteers

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The American Red Cross of Missouri and Arkansas are recruiting new volunteers.

The search comes during Red Cross Month, which recognizes the work the organization does.

The are looking for volunteers to fill their action team and according to the Red Cross, volunteers are needed in Cape Girardeau, Carter, Ripley, and Scott, Mo.

Said Red Cross Executive Director Amanda Smith: ““This is just the time of year that we really like to focus on all of the things that we do here our life saving blood collections our disaster responses we are trying to get the word out about all of the things that we do here in our area we are also doing several sound the alarm smoke installation events we had our big one in Cape Girardeau.”
