Animal Rescue Corps takes in dozens of dogs, kittens from Missouri

MISSOURI (KBSI) — Nearly 90 animals are receiving care after being surrendered from Missouri’s commercial breeding industry.

Animal Rescue Corps said its team deployed to Missouri as part of an effort called “Operation Eclipse.”

The organization said it is assisting with 86 dogs surrendered from commercial breeding operations, along with two kittens with vision impairments.

The 88 animals will be transported to Animal Rescue Corps’ Rescue Center outside Nashville, Tennessee, where they will receive medical, physical and social care.

Once the animals are ready, the organization plans to work with placement partners in areas with high adoption demand to help find them homes.

Animal Rescue Corps has not released additional information about where in Missouri the animals came from.
