Annual Makanda Vulture Fest is celebrated in southern Illinois

MAKANDA Ill. (KBSI) – The annual Vulture Festival was held on October 21-22.

The event is known to feature artists from the surrounding area displaying their finest works for viewing and purchase.

Live music, featuring bluegrass, jazz, and blues, takes place at the Makanda Pavilion and in the Rainmaker’s garden.

The two-day event offers food trucks along the pavilion and is free to the public and open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
