Annual quilt show kicks off in Paducah, KY

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – One of the largest events has Paducah busting at the seams, bringing visitors from all over the U.S. and more than seven different countries.

The annual American Quilter’s Society Quilt Week has returned again this year, and it has been growing in attendees since having to take a 2-year break back in 2020.

National Quilt Museum CEO Matt Collinsworth explains why AQS in Paducah draws so much attention.

“This is the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Week here in Paducah and it has been running now for decades,” Collinsworth said. “It’s one of the oldest and still most popular quilt show in the country. There’s a lot of different activities going on.”

Last year’s quilt show attracted more than 30,000 attendants and organizers are saying this year will be bigger.

The quilt show can be found at Schroeder Expo Center, 415 Park Street and will continue through Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
