Arevon Energy donates $145,000 to Scott County School District

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Arevon Energy, Inc., a leading renewable energy developer, has donated $145,000 to the Scott County R-IV School District.

The contribution will support various initiatives, including:

— Installation of safety protocol software ($120,000)
— Addition of an Advanced Placement Biology course ($5,000)
— Purchase of equipment for the Future Farmers of America chapter ($5,000)
— Support for STEM clubs and initiatives ($15,000)

Arevon’s donation is part of its commitment to the region, which hosts the company’s 430-megawatt Kelso Solar Project. The project is expected to generate economic benefits, including 450 jobs during peak construction and over $34 million in taxes for local governments.

Arevon has also contributed to other local organizations, including the Scott County Rural Fire Protection District, Southeast Missouri Food Bank, and Kenny Rogers Children’s Center.
