Arkansas man arrested in Graves County on multiple charges
GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A traffic stop on Interstate 69 led to the arrest of Cody Burgess, 31, of Mulberry, Arkansas, on Wednesday.
Deputy Peyton Jackson initiated the stop after observing Burgess’ vehicle being driven recklessly. Burgess showed signs of impairment and open alcoholic beverages were visible inside the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle uncovered methamphetamine, unidentified pills, synthetic urine and an open whiskey bottle. Burgess admitted to using methamphetamine and drinking alcohol before being stopped.
Burgess was charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and other offenses. He was lodged in an out-of-county jail facility.
