POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — U.S. Army Apache helicopters and a historic Douglas Skyraider visited Poplar Bluff Regional Business Airport on Monday.
The Apache helicopters gave community members an opportunity to view the military aircraft and meet some of the people who fly and maintain them, according to the airport.
A Douglas Skyraider also stopped at the airport for fuel while traveling to Texas. The aircraft was equipped with a tailhook and 20 mm cannons.
Airport officials described the visits as a showcase of American aviation history, ranging from the historic Skyraider to modern Apache helicopters.
