At least 3 injured in St. Louis County home explosion

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — At least three people were injured Tuesday morning in a home explosion that caused widespread damage in north St. Louis County, authorities said.

The blast was reported around 9:13 a.m. in the 13,800 block of Evan Aire Drive in unincorporated St. Louis County. The Blackjack Fire Protection District, St. Louis County police from the North County precinct and multiple other agencies responded.

Police said three people were transported from the scene with injuries. Officials urged the public to avoid the area while emergency crews continue their work.

The St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit and the Blackjack Fire Protection District are investigating the cause of the explosion and assessing damage.
