Authorities execute search warrants at mansion in Smithland, Kentucky

SMITHLAND, Ky. (KBSI) — A large-scale search warrant was carried out at a mansion in Smithland, Kentucky, as part of an ongoing investigation in the Smithland area.

According to a post on X by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Louisville division, the operation is being conducted with the New York Police Department and the Kentucky State Police.

The statement confirmed that two court-authorized search warrants were executed at the property in Smithland. The Kentucky State Police provided tactical support during the operation.

Several roads in the small Smithland community have been blocked off as the investigation continues.

Smithland Kentucky is located in western Kentucky area. Near the Ohio River, across from Pope County, Illinois.
