Authorities searching for suspected attempted child abductor in Johnson County

GOREVILLE, Ill. (KBSI) – Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department ask for the public’s help after and attempted child abduction in Goreville Wednesday.

It happened about 3 p.m.

Authorities are looking for a black male who was wearing a camouflage shirt or jacket with tattoos on his arm.

Anyone with information that could assist the sheriff’s department is asked to call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office or the Illinois State Police.
