Authorities seek information after bald eagle found shot in Caruthersville

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Department of Conservation is seeking information after a juvenile bald eagle was found shot earlier this week.

Officials said the eagle was discovered April 13 southeast of the intersection of East Eighth Street and Bushey Avenue in Caruthersville.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Pemiscot County Conservation Agent Hunter Ridenour at 573-757-8357 or Operation Game Thief at 800-392-1111.

Authorities said tips from the public could help determine how the eagle was killed.
