Avenue of Flags at Cape County Park in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Members of the community are honoring veterans with the Avenue of Flags at Cape County Park in Cape Girardeau. 

Twenty-five new flags were added and many of the flags have names of those who served. 

 It was a great day to get out and honor these heroes. 

Annette Regan- Trout was one of the many visitors on this day and said that she remembers her loved ones that were part of the military.  

“This is a really beautiful day couldn’t ask for more glorious blue skies I feel like our loved ones are smiling down upon us,” said Regan- Trout. 

If you didn’t make it out Monday, you still have time to see the new flags. They will stay up until 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 31.
