Ballard County Detention Center sergeant arrested for trafficking
CARLISLE COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – A sergeant at the Ballard County Detention Center was arrested on April 14, 2025, by the River Counties’ Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force for trafficking in controlled substances.
Robert Scott Hill was taken into custody after an investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
The investigation began after an individual reported a hand-to-hand transaction at a gas station in Bardwell, Kentucky.
Video surveillance and witness statements led to Hill’s identification and arrest.
Hill allegedly purchased hydrocodone tablets while wearing a badge and was found with four handguns and additional hydrocodone tablets when apprehended.
He confessed to the purchase and was transported to the McCracken County Jail.
