PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Baptist Health Paducah has been named one of America’s Top Hospitals by Forbes, earning a five-star overall rating and ranking among only five hospitals in Kentucky to receive the designation. It is the only hospital in western Kentucky recognized on the list.
The recognition reflects the hospital’s performance in patient-centered care and clinical outcomes. In the Forbes evaluation, Baptist Health Paducah received five stars for overall care and patient outcomes and four stars for patient experience. The ratings are based largely on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which also awarded the hospital a five-star quality rating in August 2025.
Hospital officials said Baptist Health Paducah is one of two hospitals in Kentucky to receive a five-star CMS rating and the only one in western Kentucky to do so.
“This recognition from Forbes is a testament to the exceptional care our teams provide every day,” said Kenny Boyd, president of Baptist Health Paducah. “Our physicians, nurses and staff are deeply committed to delivering outstanding outcomes while ensuring patients feel supported and respected throughout their care.”
The Forbes Top Hospitals 2026 rankings place significant emphasis on clinical outcomes, including mortality and readmission rates, while also considering patient experience, value, best practices and social drivers of health.
“Delivering safe, evidence-based care with strong outcomes requires constant collaboration and accountability,” said Dr. Brad Housman, chief medical officer at Baptist Health Paducah. “This recognition reinforces that our focus on quality and patient safety is making a meaningful difference for the people we serve.”
