Baptist Health Paducah promotes self-care during National Wellness Month
PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Baptist Health Paducah is encouraging the community to prioritize self-care during National Wellness Month.
The hospital reminds residents that wellness encompasses not only physical health but also mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Small changes, such as managing stress, improving sleep and exercising regularly, can significantly impact daily life.
“Neglecting our health can lead to stress, fatigue and burnout,” said Dr. Teri Stapleton with Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care. “By prioritizing our health, we can build healthy habits that boost energy levels, mood and overall quality of life.”
Baptist Health Paducah offers the following wellness tips:
— Eat a nutritious breakfast, plan healthy lunches and swap processed snacks for fruits and vegetables.
— Drink enough water throughout the day.
— Recognize stress triggers and develop healthy coping techniques.
— Practice good hand hygiene.
— Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity each week.
— Strive for 7-9 hours of sleep each night.
