PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Baptist Health Paducah, in partnership with Network for Hope, will host a “Pause to Give Life” observance Friday to honor organ, tissue and eye donors during National Donate Life Month.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Baptist Health Paducah. A ceremonial honor walk will begin in the Larry Barton Atrium, followed by the raising of the Donate Life flag near Medical Park 1.
Hospital officials said the observance will recognize donors, donor families and living donors while raising awareness about the need for organ donation.
More than 106,000 people in the United States are currently waiting for life-saving transplants, according to organizers.
The event is open to the public, and media are invited to attend.
