Benton, IL man facing predatory criminal sexual assault of a child charges

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A Benton, Ill. man faces sexual assault of a child charges after the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received a report concerning a potential sex offense.

Robert B. Hodges, 34, of Benton faces two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and unlawful violation of an order of protection.

On July 8, patrol deputies received a report concerning a potential sex offense against a child that occurred in rural Franklin County.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office detectives began working the case. Hodges was arrested.

He in the Franklin County Jail on $205,000 bond.

Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon thanked the Franklin-Williamson Child Advocacy Center and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for their assistance in the investigation.
