Benton, KY man facing charges for road rage
CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Benton, Ky. man faces charges after sheriff’s deputies investigated a road rage incident.
Michael D. Elder, 38, of Benton faces charges of criminal mischief 1st degree (Class D felony), driving on DUI suspended license 1st offense and menacing.
He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center after the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office served a Calloway arrest warrant on April 23.
The warrant was issued after sheriff’s deputies say an April 7 road rage incident happened on State Route 121N.
The victim said that a vehicle turned in front of him and then stopped abruptly.
The victim thought there may have been an emergency and pulled up to check.
Sheriff’s deputies say the driver of the suspect vehicle, later identified as Elder, got out and began shouting at the victim and then intentionally caused damage to the victim’s vehicle.
