Benton, KY man facing theft, forged instrument charges

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Benton, Ky. man faces theft and another charge after his work for a customer.
Eric Gene Pummer, 35, faces charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree and theft by failure to make required disposition. He was arrested on February 22.
A plumbing company notified the sheriff’s office that a customer had possibly been a victim of a theft by their employee.
According to the company, Pummer was sent to complete work at a home in Marshall County.
When Pummer completed the job for the customer, the customer paid Pummer by check.
It was discovered that the check amount was later altered and not submitted to the company. Pummer was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
