Benton man charged after stolen crossbow recovered

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Benton man was arrested after deputies recovered a stolen crossbow valued at more than $2,000, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded June 22 to Ky Lake Outdoors after receiving a report that a crossbow had been stolen from the business.
Investigators identified a suspect and went to a residence where they located the missing crossbow, authorities said.
Lance Wagers, 44, of Benton, was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
