Benton mayor visits Kelso C-7 students to discuss local government

KELSO, Mo., (KBSI)— City of Benton, Missouri Mayor Simmons visited second-grade students at Kelso C-7 School District to speak about Presidents Day, local government and the responsibilities of a mayor.

City officials said the visit provided students an opportunity to learn about civic leadership and the role of municipal government.
