Bernie police report three arrests on failure-to-appear warrants

BERNIE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Bernie Police Department reported three recent arrests involving municipal warrants for failure to appear in court.

Police said Crystal G. Gibson of Marion, Illinois, was arrested July 30 on a Bernie municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to register a vehicle. Her cash-only bond was set at $80. Gibson later posted bond and was released.

On Aug. 10, police arrested Jason Allan Fields of Bernie on two failure-to-appear warrants. His original charges involved failure to display or fasten a front or back license plate on a motor vehicle or trailer and defective equipment. His cash-only bond was set at $160. Police said he later posted bond and was released.

Police also arrested Christopher Demonte Wright of Jackson on Aug. 16 on a failure-to-appear warrant stemming from an original charge of exceeding the posted speed limit.

Wright’s cash-only bond was set at $80. He later posted bond and was released, according to police.
