FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear honored the lives lost and the first responders who displayed courage during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In a statement marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks, Beshear also urged Americans to remember the humanity, strength and kindness demonstrated in the hours, days and months that followed.

“That unity is what makes America strong — and we must never forget,” Beshear said. “God bless our great country.”
