WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies warn the public of a black bear sighting in the eastern part of the county.
A black bear was spotted in the area of Galatia Post and Angelville Roads in eastern Williamson County on July 18 at 6:10 a.m.
“This is a confirmed sighting with multiple witnesses,” said Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich. “The public should not approach the bear and are asked to report future sightings to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at 618-997-6541.
