Block party begins at Southeast Missouri State University for solar eclipse

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- The block party for the Southeast Missouri State University solar eclipse party begins at 11 a.m.

Festivities are taking place on Normal Ave.

The mobile observatory is on site for people to see the eclipse at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus.

Faculty from the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Southeast Missouri State University will be operating telescopes to view the sun on both campuses.
