Blood drive to be held in honor of Damion Crader
ADVANCE, Mo., (KBSI) — The family of Damion Crader and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive in Crader’s honor on March 21.
Crader, 18, survived a severe car accident that left him with multiple injuries, including broken bones and a lacerated artery in his neck. He required 50 units of lifesaving blood in the first week after the crash.
The blood drive will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Advance Methodist Church, 202 North Oak St. Donors will receive a $10 (link unavailable) gift card via email.
To make an appointment, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, and use sponsor code “DamionStrong,” or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health.
