Board & Brush event to raise money for veterans’ accessible bus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – The Missouri Veterans Home Foundation is partnering with Board & Brush Cape Girardeau to host a DIY fundraising workshop benefiting veterans and other local nonprofits.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 20 at the Buckner-Ragsdale Event Center, 132 N. Main St. in Cape Girardeau.
Participants will create a custom wood sign while supporting one of three area nonprofits: the Missouri Veterans Home Foundation, FosterAdopt Connect or Sammy’s Window at the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center.
According to organizers, proceeds designated for the Missouri Veterans Home Foundation will go toward its bus fund, helping purchase a new handicap-accessible bus for veterans to use for recreational outings.
Participants can choose which nonprofit their registration supports. Registration is available through Board & Brush Cape Girardeau.
