Body found in abandoned residence, homicide investigation underway
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Authorities are investigating a homicide after a body was found inside an abandoned residence in Williamson County.
Deputies responded to the scene near the intersection of Chittyville Road and Stiritz Road on June 30.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office has requested assistance from Illinois State Police Crime Scene investigators.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
