Body found in Mississippi River near Ste. Genevieve

STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after the body of a man was found in the Mississippi River Thursday night.

Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff Gary Stolzer says the body of a male was found Thursday night by employees of a local rock company.

The body was turned over to the Ste. Genevieve County coroner.

Authorties have not released the identity of the person.
