Body identified after death investigation in Herrin

HERRIN Ill. (KBSI) – According to documents the body of a death investigation has been identified.
The body was identified as Cassandra Nicole Beasley, aged 29 of Herrin.
Cassandra’s body was found on November 20th and an investigation began into her death.
Cassandras husband Michael Allen Beasley was arrested for aggravated domestic battery/strangulation according to arrest records but he has since been released from Willaimson County Jail.
This is an ongoing investigation.

An investigation is ongoing after a body was found in Herrin.
On November 20, 2024, at around 5:20 pm the Herrin Police Department responded to the 600 Block of N 13th St, Herrin IL, for an unresponsive person.
After officers arrived, they located a body, and the individual was later pronounced deceased by the Williamson County Coroner on scene.
At that time the Herrin Police Investigations Unit was contacted to conduct an investigation.
The Williamson County Major Case Squad was then activated for assistance in the investigation as well as the Illinois State Police Crime Scene.
The Herrin Police Department says his is an isolated incident and there is no further threat to public safety.
